Holistic Care for Your Unique Needs

My mission is to help people move with more ease, feel more connected and grounded in their bodies, and achieve their personal goals by viewing each individual as a unique and deeply interconnected system. My thorough and systematic approach to evaluation and treatment allows your body to guide us to the root causes of pain or dysfunction. Your body is the smartest person in the room.

I believe that pelvic health physical therapy should be accessible to people of all genders and across the lifespan, and I am committed to offering that care in my own practice. I am also dedicated to removing the stigma and embarrassment often associated with pelvic floor dysfunction, which can leave people suffering in silence.

My Approach

What comes to mind when you hear the words “physical therapy”?

Most people picture the musculoskeletal system—our bones, muscles, and joints. These structures are essential, but there is so much more that impacts our pain, movement, and function.

One of the most important functions of our bones and muscles is to protect our organs and central nervous system, which are critical to keeping us alive. I use a whole-body approach to assess and treat not only the musculoskeletal structures, but also the organs and nervous system that they support and protect. This allows me to determine the underlying causes of pain and movement dysfunction, rather than chasing symptoms.

I take a deeply collaborative approach to our work together, listening to all concerns and supporting you on your way to holistic health.

I approach complex problems with curiosity, humility, and humor. I see myself not as a guru or healer who can “fix” people, but as someone who can provide tools to help your body function better from the inside out.

I create a trauma-informed therapy environment where my patients feel they are safe, truly heard, and worthy of taking up space and investing in their own well-being.

It is a great privilege to earn patients’ trust in such an intimate therapy setting, and this is a privilege I never take for granted.

About Me

I began my physical therapy journey in 2015 as a career change (I previously taught college-level English literature and writing). While this background is unconventional in the PT world, I firmly believe that within every great PT is a great teacher. I am highly skilled at adapting my communication and educational methods to match the unique needs of each client.

I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Thomas Jefferson University in 2018. By the end of my training there, I knew that I wanted to specialize in pelvic health, and I completed my Women’s Health Residency at Good Shepherd Penn Partners the following year. I have worked in both a large hospital-based system and in private practice, and the pros and cons of both environments have shaped the priorities and values of my solo practice. I am passionate about educating my patients about their own bodies and making pelvic health care more accessible to all.

Outside of work, you’ll find me spending time with my husband and daughter in Collingswood, NJ, where all week long we look forward to visiting our local farmers’ market! I knit as often as possible (my mom and grandma taught me when I was 14) and am an avid collector of yarn, houseplants, favorite recipes, and more DIY house project ideas than I can ever execute. I love moving my body—strength training and running are my current go-tos, but I also love hiking, kayaking, and open-water swimming when I have the chance.

Testimonials

  • My pelvic floor loves Jenna! My journey with Jenna began with birth prep work. Even though I ultimately had an unscheduled cesarean birth, our early work together gave me much needed confidence going into labor, and it laid an important foundation for understanding how to support a healthy, functioning pelvic floor going forward in life. Since then, she has been pivotal for so many aspects of my postpartum recovery: c-section scar mobilization, tailbone dysfunction, hip instability, and more. Maybe most important for a pelvic floor therapist, her bedside manner is the perfect combination of warm, trauma-informed, and a healthy dose of humor. –HH

  • I saw Jenna for prenatal pelvic PT to prepare for the birth of my first child. I felt instantly comfortable with her and, now that I’m at term and getting ready for my birth, I feel much more confident after having worked with her. She is a very knowledgeable PT who uses a variety of methods (internal pelvic floor work, external stretching and strengthening, birth position practice, etc) to assist with birth preparation. I also found Jenna to be very authentic and easy to talk to, as did my husband, who also got to be involved in the sessions. He now feels a lot more confident in supporting me in labor after having been involved in labor positioning practice. I highly recommend her for your prenatal PT needs, whether you’re experiencing pelvic discomfort or just seeking some proactive strategies for birth prep. –IM

  • After several unsuccessful attempts [at undergoing a gynecologic exam], my OBGYN recommended pelvic floor therapy. Thankfully I found Jenna who has been incredibly helpful in prepping me for a pap smear in my near-ish future. She has been not only incredibly helpful but also supportive and innovative in her approach to treatment. I have been able to make steady progress despite being super busy which only further speaks to her skill. Not only that, but she is also very respectful, responsive, and trans-competent.  –CK

  • Dr. Jenna Lewis is amazing. I am post menopausal and arrived asking for help treating a few symptoms and learned how my troubling issues are related and fixable. Jenna makes treatment easy and comfortable. -SS

  • Jenna came to my home each week, bringing not just expert care, but also a calming presence that made each session something I truly looked forward to. What truly set Jenna apart was her ability to "peel back the layers" — taking the time to dig deeper into my issues rather than just treating surface symptoms. Thanks to her thoughtful and thorough approach, we were able to uncover the root causes of my discomfort and build a plan that actually made sense for my body and my life.

Because of Jenna’s dedication, patience, and incredible skill, I am now in a place where I can maintain my progress independently — something I honestly didn't think would be possible when we first started. I am beyond grateful for her help and would highly recommend Jenna to anyone looking for a physical therapist who is truly next-level. –RW

  • I am so grateful to have had Jenna as a provider throughout pregnancy and postpartum. She is an excellent PT, a kind and empathetic listener, and will provide you with a targeted plan to support your pelvic health. She will take the time to answer every single question you have because she truly cares about her patients. I feel so much better after my appointments and have exercises and strategies to support me while I’m at home, both for pelvic health and scar support. I am doing much better today because of Jenna’s support and care. I truly cannot recommend her enough! –IP

  • After having my 2nd child (10 years after my 1st) it was recommended I go to pelvic floor therapy for pelvic pain I was having. Although I am in the medical field, I didn't know much about it and was quite hesitant to go. But the pain wasn't subsiding. That is where I met Jenna. She is phenomenal! She made me feel at ease, explained everything, and was able to pinpoint my problem in no time at all. It has been a few months since our sessions ended, which was very sad, but I continue to do the exercises Jenna taught me. I am so grateful for her. 10/10 if you are looking for a pelvic floor therapist, she is your girl! –MB
