Holistic Care for Your Unique Needs
My mission is to help people move with more ease, feel more connected and grounded in their bodies, and achieve their personal goals by viewing each individual as a unique and deeply interconnected system. My thorough and systematic approach to evaluation and treatment allows your body to guide us to the root causes of pain or dysfunction. Your body is the smartest person in the room.
I believe that pelvic health physical therapy should be accessible to people of all genders and across the lifespan, and I am committed to offering that care in my own practice. I am also dedicated to removing the stigma and embarrassment often associated with pelvic floor dysfunction, which can leave people suffering in silence.
My Approach
What comes to mind when you hear the words “physical therapy”?
Most people picture the musculoskeletal system—our bones, muscles, and joints. These structures are essential, but there is so much more that impacts our pain, movement, and function.
One of the most important functions of our bones and muscles is to protect our organs and central nervous system, which are critical to keeping us alive. I use a whole-body approach to assess and treat not only the musculoskeletal structures, but also the organs and nervous system that they support and protect. This allows me to determine the underlying causes of pain and movement dysfunction, rather than chasing symptoms.
I take a deeply collaborative approach to our work together, listening to all concerns and supporting you on your way to holistic health.
I approach complex problems with curiosity, humility, and humor. I see myself not as a guru or healer who can “fix” people, but as someone who can provide tools to help your body function better from the inside out.
I create a trauma-informed therapy environment where my patients feel they are safe, truly heard, and worthy of taking up space and investing in their own well-being.
It is a great privilege to earn patients’ trust in such an intimate therapy setting, and this is a privilege I never take for granted.
About Me
I began my physical therapy journey in 2015 as a career change (I previously taught college-level English literature and writing). While this background is unconventional in the PT world, I firmly believe that within every great PT is a great teacher. I am highly skilled at adapting my communication and educational methods to match the unique needs of each client.
I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Thomas Jefferson University in 2018. By the end of my training there, I knew that I wanted to specialize in pelvic health, and I completed my Women’s Health Residency at Good Shepherd Penn Partners the following year. I have worked in both a large hospital-based system and in private practice, and the pros and cons of both environments have shaped the priorities and values of my solo practice. I am passionate about educating my patients about their own bodies and making pelvic health care more accessible to all.
Outside of work, you’ll find me spending time with my husband and daughter in Collingswood, NJ, where all week long we look forward to visiting our local farmers’ market! I knit as often as possible (my mom and grandma taught me when I was 14) and am an avid collector of yarn, houseplants, favorite recipes, and more DIY house project ideas than I can ever execute. I love moving my body—strength training and running are my current go-tos, but I also love hiking, kayaking, and open-water swimming when I have the chance.
